Root canal treatment
The treatment of an inflamed tooth with 2, 3 or 4 root canals is a challenge for any dentist. In the past saving teeth like these was an attempt that often proved futile in the long run; such that these teeth would often have to be removed after a few years.
Nowadays, with the introduction of modern treatment methods employing the loupe and the microscope, the rate of success can be as high as 90 % even when treatment requires 3 or 4 root canals.
These treatments require more expertise from the dentist.
